Biography: Dennis Auckley MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University (MetroHealth Medical Center) in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Auckley practices Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and directs the Center for Sleep Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Auckley performs research on sleep with a focus on sleep disordered breathing. His particular clinical and research interests include the evaluation and management of obstructive sleep apnea in hospitalized patients and in the perioperative arena. Dr. Auckley has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific manuscripts, chapters, reviews and abstracts. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine (on the Board of Directors) and is a Fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Auckley is also interested in the education and training of future Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine physicians. He is the Associate Director of both the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program at MetroHealth Medical Center and the Case Sleep Fellowship Program.
