Statement of expertise for the sub-committee: My area of research is focused on perioperative medicine specifically on interventions that can both improve the perioperative immune function in patients with different malignancies and induce cancer cell death when given during and immediately cancer surgery. 

Biography: I was born in Argentina and obtained my medical degree in 1997. After residency in Anesthesiology in Cordoba, Argentina, I moved to the United States were I did my postdoctoral fellowship in basic science at MD Anderson Cancer Center. In 2005, I joined the Cleveland Clinic for residency in Anesthesiology and then became staff anesthesiologist and member of the Outcomes Research Consortium. In 2011, I joined MD Andersonc Cancer Center where I am a clinical anesthesiologist and a researcher with interest in postoperative cancer outcomes.
