Biography: Albert T. Cheung, M.D. is a Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine at Stanford University in Stanford California. At Stanford, Dr. Cheung serves as the Division Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Program Director of the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship program. He works as both an attending anesthesiologist in the cardiothoracic surgical operating room and the Cardiovascular Surgical intensive care unit. Before joining the faculty of Stanford University, he served on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania for 24 years where he achieved the rank of Professor. He earned his BA from the Johns Hopkins University, his MD from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his subspecialty training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
