Biography: Dr Neville Gibbs is a specialist anaesthetist at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth Western Australia, and a Clinical Professor at The University of Western Australia. He has a long history of interest in patient safety, perioperative coagulation, and platelet function monitoring. His other current roles include being Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Tripartite Anaesthesia Data Committee, and Chief Editor of the journal Anaesthesia and Intensive Care.
