Biography: Charles Imarengiaye had his basic medical education in the University of Benin, Benin City and became a certified anaesthetist in 1999 following the successful completion of the residency programme in University of Benin Teaching Hospital. He was appointed Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in 1999. Further professional and academic development took him to Canada where he obtained Fellowship training in Obstetric Anaesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto and Ambulatory Anaesthesia, Toronto Western Hospital. Dr. C. O. Imarengiaye, a Professor of Obstetric Anaesthesia, has been teaching Clinical Anaesthesia to medical students, postgraduate doctors in Anaesthesia and related surgical disciplines. He has been an Examiner to the Faculty of Anaesthesia, West African College of Anaesthesia and Faculty of Anaesthesia, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. In addition, he has been a resource person to Workshops/Update Courses by the allied surgical specialties. He has attended a number of local and international conferences and has several papers in peer-reviewed journals. Charles Imarengiaye hobbies include football and listening to vocal jazz. He is happily married and lives with the family in Benin City, Nigeria.
