Statement of expertise for the sub-committee: My subspecialties include cardiac anesthesia for congenital heart disease (CHD) and pediatric TEE. Areas of interest extend to anesthesia for non-cardiac surgery or peripartum care in patients with adult CHD.
Biography: Dr Satoshi Kurokawa is an associate professor, and a director of a division of cardiovascular anesthesiology at Tokyo Womens Medical University (TWMU). After graduation from Niigata University School of Medicine in 1991, he trained and practiced at Niigata University Hospital from 1991 to 2008. And then, he has been working at TWMU from 2008 to present. His particular interest include cardiac anesthesia and his clinical practice at TWMU is heavily weighted in pediatric cardiac anesthesia and pediatric transesophageal echocardiography. Dr Kurokawas other interest include anesthesia for non-cardiac surgery or peripartum care in patients with adult congenital heart disease.
