Statement of expertise for the sub-committee: Statement of expertise for the sub-committee: Dr. Lerman has authored more than 110 peer-reviewed manuscripts related to Pediatric Anesthesia, edited/authored three textbooks (the latest “Neonatal Anesthesia” in 2015), 100 review articles, chapters and editorials, numerous grants and 2 patents. He has delivered more than 300 lectures in over 30 countries. He is currently an editor at Pediatric Anesthesia and a former editor at Anesthesiology and Canadian Journal of Anesthesia as well as former associate editor at Anesthesia & Analgesia.

Biography: Dr. Lerman graduated from University of Toronto in Medicine and Anesthesia, then completed a research fellowship in the CVRI at UCSF. In 1983, he returned to the Hospital for Sick Children, where he became Anaesthetist-in-Chief for 5 years and Professor of Anesthesia. In 2002, he left to join the Department of Anesthesia at Women and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo with a cross-appointment at University of Rochester. Dr. Lerman has authored more than 110 manuscripts, three textbooks, 100 review articles, chapters and editorials. He holds 2 patents, is an editor at Pediatric Anesthesia and has received numerous honours.
