Biography: Dr. Peiying Li is an associate research professor at Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. She earned her B.S, M.S in Clinical Medicine(2007) and Ph.D in Anesthesiology(2013) at Shanghai Medical Collage, Fudan University. Dr. Peiying Li began her anesthesia practice in Huashan Hospital, Fudan University since 2007. During 2010-2013, Dr. Peiying Li worked as a neuroscience research fellow at University of Pittsburgh in the US. In 2015, Dr. Peiying Li received her position in Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University for her outstanding neuroscience research and clinical expertise in neurosurgery anesthesia. Dr. Lis research is mainly focused on finding the molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of neurological disorders such as cerebral ischemic stroke, and developing potential targets for neuroprotection, such as adoptive regulatory T (Tregs) cell therapy for cerebral ischemia. Dr. Lis novel discoveries have resulted in numerous publications in prestigious scholarly journals, including 12 papers in Stroke (a high impacted journal ranked 13 out of 192 journals in Clinical Neurology), Annals of Neurology (a prestigious journals with an Impact Factor of 11.193 and ranked No.5 out of 192 journals in Clinical Neurology), and 3 papers in Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (another prominent journal with an Impact Factor of 7.4 and ranked top in the category of redox/antioxidants research). Altogether her publications have been cited for more than 600 times. She was also invited as a peer-reviewer for several scientific journals, presented her works in scientific conferences and symposiums around the world and received prestigious awards such as Niels Lassen Award (granted by the International Society of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism-ISCBFM), Mengchao Wu Medical Awards (granted by Mengchao Wu Medical Fundation).Dr. Peiying Li is supported by Chinese Natural Science Foundation grant, Shanghai Rising Star Program and Shanghai Natural Science Foundation.
