Biography: Dr Maytinee Lilaonitkul is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the department of Anaesthesiology at the University of Hong Kong. She has recently completed her anaesthetic training in the UK. She has an interest in developing world anaesthesia and has been actively involved in international collaborative projects. She was a long-term volunteer at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital in Uganda (2012- 2013). The focus of her work was on education, improving healthcare services and patient safety in anaesthesia. She is the director for SAFE obstetric courses in Uganda and Kenya (2013- present) and has facilitated the roll out of Lifebox pulse oximeter training in Uganda. More recently, she has taken on the role of Editor-in-Chief for WFSAs publication, Anaesthesia Tutorial of the Week (2015-present).
