Biography: Dr. Raiten has experience in developing and implementing educational initiatives in critical care and anesthesiology on a global scale. He has led or assisted with educational programsinmany countriesincluding Rwanda, Malaysia and Nepal. In the United States, his practice is centered on cardiovascular critical care and thoracic anesthesiology. He is the Director of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety foranesthesiology and critical careat Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and is highly active in resident and fellow education. His research interests include resident education, global critical care development, and management of patients after cardiac surgery. His work has been published in numerous journals including the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA.
