Biography: Dr. Robards is currently Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, and Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Anesthesiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended medical school at the University of Kansas. He completed an internship at the University of Florida, Health Sciences Center in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Mayo Clinic Florida, followed by a fellowship in regional anesthesia at the New York School of Regional Anesthesia (NYSORA), St. Lukes-Roosevelt hospital, New York, New York. Dr. Robards currently has 24 PubMed indexed citations in addition to several book chapters and other non-indexed articles in the subspecialty of regional anesthesia. He has lectured on various topics of regional anesthesia and taught ultrasound guided workshops at NYSORA, SAMBA, ASA and NWAC meetings. His research interests include ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blockade and the prevention of cancer recurrence through the incorporation of regional anesthesia techniques.
