Statement of expertise for the sub-committee: Research interests include management of high risk parturients such as preeclampsia, co-morbidities with cardiac or cerebrovascular disease.  Also ineterested in the management of obstetric hemorrhage using pont of care testing.

Biography: Trained in Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in early 1990's. Established first division of obstetric anesthesia in Japan in 2000 and started 24-hour labor epidural analgesia service. Has tained more than 50 residents and trainees in obstetric anesthesia, and is directing first obstetric anesthesia fellowship program in Japan since 2012. Editorial board member of Journal of Anesthesia, an official journal of the Japanese Society of Anesthesiology. Former editorial board member of regional anesthesia and pain medicine and obstetric anesthesia digest. Contributed book chapters in 4 textbook or handbooks.
