Biography: Dr Christine Ball is an anaesthetist at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne with particular interests in perioperative medicine, orthopaedic trauma and interventional radiology. She is co-convenor of a unit of the Masters of Perioperative Medicine at Monash University and an editor of the recent publication “Perioperative Medicine for the Junior Clinician” (Wiley, Oxford, 2015). Dr Ball is the Honorary Curator of the Geoffrey Kaye Museum at ANZCA in Melbourne and has authored over 120 publications on the history of anaesthesia. She was a convenor of the last International Symposium on the History of Anaesthesia in Sydney, 2012 and co-editor of the subsequent proceedings “History of Anaesthesia VIII. The Proceedings of the 8th International Symposium on the History of Anaesthesia” (ASA, Sydney, 2016)
